MARLBOROUGH, Mass. -- Wellesley College soccer senior goalkeeper
Riley McNair (Cupertino, Calif.) has been named the NEWMAC Women's Soccer Defensive Athlete of the Week for the week ending on September 21, 2025. Monday marks McNair's third straight week of earning the accolade, having previously been the recipient for the weeks ending on September 7 and September 14.
McNair extended her streak of games without allowing a goal to four this week. The highlight was an eight-save shutout as the Blue defeated Coast Guard 2-0 in its NEWMAC opener. Earlier in the week, McNair stopped a pair of shots on goal in the opening 45 minutes of a non-conference contest at Plymouth State.
Coach
Greg Margolis' squad next plays on Wednesday, September 24 at University of Hartford. Kickoff is set for 6:00 PM.
