    Wellesley College volleyball (23-5 overall) will play Clarkson (26-5 overall) on Saturday, November 16, at 5:00 PM in the 2019 NCAA Division III Women's Volleyball Championship Second Round at the Potsdam, N.Y. Regional, hosted by Clarkson University.
  • Wellesley's Gedney, Seebold Named to NEWVA All-New England Volleyball Team

    The New England Women's Volleyball Coaches Association (NEWVA) has released its 2019 NEWVA Annual Awards honoring the region's Player of the Year, Rookie of the Year, Coach of the Year, the All-New England Teams and the All-Rookie Team. Wellesley College volleyball junior Lauren Gedney (Huntersville, N.C.) has been selected to the NEWVA First Team and sophomore Izzy Seebold (Concord, N.C.) has been named to the NEWVA Second Team.
  • Wellesley Volleyball Falls to Clarkson in NCAA Regional Semifinal, 3-1

    Junior Lauren Gedney (Huntersville, N.C.) tallied a match-high 17 kills but Wellesley College volleyball dropped a 3-1 (25-23, 15-25, 25-13, 25-16) final to Clarkson University in the Second Round of the 2019 NCAA Division III Women's Volleyball Championship at Alumni Gymnasium.

  • Wellesley's Gedney, Seebold, Doerges Earn AVCA All-Region Honors

    The American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) announced the 2019 Division III Regional Awards on Thursday and Wellesley College junior Lauren Gedney (Huntersville, N.C.) and sophomores Izzy Seebold (Concord, N.C.) and Nicole Doerges (San Marino, Calif.) were each recognized. Gedney and Seebold were named to All-New England Region team, while Doerges was an Honorable Mention All-New England Performer.
  • Wellesley Volleyball Downs Brockport in NCAA First Round, 3-0

    Junior Nikki Jensen (Castro Valley, Calif.) and sophomore Nicole Doerges (San Marino, Calif.) each tallied nine kills and ten digs to lead Wellesley College volleyball past The College at Brockport, 3-0 (25-18, 25-20, 25-18) in the First Round of the 2019 NCAA Division III Women's Volleyball Championship at Clarkson University’s Alumni Gymnasium.

    The New England Women's & Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) released the 2019 volleyball conference and postseason awards on Thursday and Wellesley College volleyball Head Coach Dorothy Webb has been named the 2019 NEWMAC Coach of the Year.

    Junior Lauren Gedney (Huntersville, N.C.) tallied 16 kills and senior Meghan Shoop (Cypress, Calif.) had a match-high 19 digs as second-seeded Wellesley College volleyball swept past seventh-seeded WPI, 3-0 (25-14, 25-20, 25-21), in the quarterfinals of the 2019 New England Women’s & Men’s Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Volleyball Championship on Tuesday evening at Dorothy Towne Fieldhouse.
  • No. 2 Wellesley Volleyball to Host No. 7 WPI to Begin NEWMAC Championship

    With the conclusion of a competitive regular season this afternoon, the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) released the 2019 NEWMAC Volleyball Championship bracket on Saturday. Seven teams will be competing for the NEWMAC title with first round matches beginning on Tuesday, November 5th. Wellesley College (21-4, 9-1) secured the No. 2 seed and will host No. 7 WPI (14-13, 4-6) on Tuesday, November 5, at 7:00 PM at Dorothy Towne Fieldhouse.

  • Blue Volleyball Tops Roger Williams, Bates to Sweep Hall of Fame Invite

    AMHERST, Mass. -- Wellesley College volleyball opened with a 3-0 (25-17, 25-17, 25-13) victory over Roger Williams University before earning a 3-0 (25-21, 25-13, 30-28) to Bates College on day two of the 2019 Hall of Fame Invitational on Saturday at Amherst College’s Le Frak Gymnasium. Wellesley is now 19-3 overall. 
  • Volleyball Rallies For Five-Set Win at Amherst; Gedney Gets 1,000th Career Kill

    Junior Lauren Gedney (Huntersville, N.C.) surpassed 1,000 career kills and Wellesley College volleyball rallied from a two-sets to none deficit to defeat Amherst College, 3-2 (23-25, 21-25, 25-18, 22-17, 15-13), on Friday night at the Hall of Fame Invitational at Le Frak Gymnasium.

    Wellesley College volleyball cruised to a tri-match sweep of a non-conference Worcester State University and Fairleigh Dickinson University - Florham (FDU) on Saturday at Dorothy Towne Fieldhouse. The Blue defeated Worcester St., 3-0 (25-16, 25-17, 25-15), and FDU, 3-0 (25-9, 25-15, 25-10). In the second match, Worcester St. defeated FDU, 3-1 (25-16, 25-16, 22-25, 25-19).
