  • Bradbury Leads Wellesley Track & Field With PR at NE DIII Indoor Championships

    After collecting qualifying marks throughout the season, eight members of the Wellesley College track & field team competed on Saturday at the New England Division III Indoor Championships. First year Grace Cowles (Yarmouth, Maine) finished with the top mark for the Blue, just missing out on all-region honors with a tenth place finish in the mile.

    A pair of first place finishes and personal bests highlighted the Wellesley performances at the Gordon Kelly Invitational held at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology on Saturday afternoon. Junior Samara Shaz (New York, N.Y) crossed the finish line first in the 3,000m at 11:23.18, while junior Liz Wegman (East Sandwich, Mass) finished first in the 1,000m at 3:12.01.
  • Six From Wellesley Track & Field Compete at BU's Valentine Invitational

    First year Ava Yokanovich (Stillwater, Minn.) ran to a New England DIII Championship qualifying time in the 400m to lead Wellesley College track & field on Friday at the David Hemery Valentine Invitational, hosted by Boston University at the BU Track and Tennis Center. 
  • Wellesley Track & Field Records Multiple PRs at Tufts Cupid Challenge

    Sophomore Grace Cowles (Yarmouth, Maine) and first year Maya Bradbury (Freeport, Maine) each posted personal records to qualify for the New England Division III Championships in the 3000m, as Wellesley College track & field competed Saturday at the Tufts University Cupid Challenge at Gantcher Fieldhouse. 
  • Blue Track & Field Competes at Tufts Branwen Smith-King Invite

    Sophomore Grace Cowles (Yarmouth, Maine) and first year Maya Bradbury (Freeport, Maine) both set new PRs and finished in the top-ten with New England DIII qualifying times in the Mile to help lead the Wellesley on the track at the Branwen-Smith King Invitational at Tufts University on Saturday afternoon. Cowles, finished fourth, crossing the finish line at 5:18.97, while Bradbury finished eighth, at 5:22.79.
  • Cowles, Andersen Lead Wellesley Track & Field at Wheaton Invitational

    Sophomore Grace Cowles (Yarmouth, Maine) finished first in the 3000m and senior Helen Andersen (Madison, N.J.) was the runner-up in the shot put to lead Wellesley College track & field at the Wheaton College Invitational on Saturday at the Haas Athletic Center.
  • Andersen, Chen Set New Wellesley Track & Field Records at Smith Winter Classic

    Seniors Helen Andersen (Madison, N.J.) and Cathy Chen (Parsippany, N.J.) and junior Tatenda Rameau (Syracuse, N.Y.) each registered New England Division III qualifying marks to lead Wellesley College track & field at the indoor season opening Smith Winter Classic on Saturday.
