  • Wellesley's Chu, Huang, Markwart Earn NEWMAC Tennis All-Conference Honors

    The New England Women's & Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) announced the 2019 Women's Tennis All-Conference and Postseason awards on Wednesday and Wellesley College senior Justine Huang (Coto de Caza. Calif.), sophomore Lily Chu (Princeton, N.J.) and first year Micaela Markwart (Hanover, Mass.) have each earned All-Conference Second Team Honors. Chu was selected at No. 6 singles, while Huang and Markwart were named All-Conference at No. 2 doubles.

Senior Justine Huang (Coto de Caza, Calif.) has been named the Singles Athlete of the Week, while the sophomore Lily Chu (Princeton, N.J.) and first year doubles partner Cinji Lee (Seoul, South Korea) have been named Doubles Team of the Week.

    BRUNSWICK, Maine -- Wellesley College tennis played in the Bowdoin Invitational this past weekend. The Blue had 12 victories in the two day tournament. First year Michaela Markwart (Hanover, Mass.) brought in one of the biggest wins of the weekend as she defeated Tufts number one singles player, Patricia Obeid (New York, N.Y.).

    The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) announced the 2018 All-Academic Teams and Scholar-Athletes on Tuesday. In all, 735 teams and 4,328 student-athletes across all five divisions of college tennis were honored including the Wellesley College tennis program and seven members of the Blue tennis team. 
  • Wellesley Tennis Lands Three on NEWMAC All-Conference Second Team

    Wellesley College tennis junior Justine Huang (Coto de Caza, Calif.), sophomore Selina Peng (Taichung, Taiwan), and first year Lily Chu (Princeton, N.J.) have each been named to the 2018 New England Women's & Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Women's Tennis All-Conference second team. Huang and Peng were selected as the top doubles squad on the All-Conference second team, while Chu was selected as the No. 6 singles player.
