Simona Horsikyan joined the Blue tennis program for her first season in 2016-17. A native of Plovdiv, Bulgaria, Horsikyan began playing tennis when she was 6 years old. During her junior years she competed in Bulgaria and around Europe.

Horsikyan received a Bachelor of Science degree from Division I University of Central Arkansas in 2014 where she played No. 1 singles and No. doubles on the women`s tennis team for four years. She completed her a master's degree in Communication at Regis College in 2016, while also working as assistant tennis coach for the women's and the men's tennis teams from 2014-2016. While at Regis College, Simona helpled both the women's and the men's teams win NECC Championship titles in both 2014-2015 and 2015-2016.

Horsikyan has also worked as a tennis professional at the Longfellow clubs in Wayland and Natick (2014-2016) and at the Longwood Cricket Club in Brookline (2016).
