WESTWOOD, Mass. -- The New England Women's & Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) announced the 2019 Women's Lacrosse All-Conference and Postseason awards on Thursday and Wellesley College senior Dacia Persky (Las Vegas, Nev.) has been named to All-Conference Second Team for the second time in her career.

Persky earns her second career NEWMAC All-Conference honor, having also been named to the All-Conference Seond Team after the 2017 season. Wellesley's leading scoring with 80 points on 64 goals and 16 assists during the 2019 season, Persky was second in the NEWMAC in overall scoring and tied for eighth in the conference with 24 goals and nine assists in eight conference games. Persky was the NEWMAC Offensive Athlete of the Week on March 18 after she scored 17 goals in two games for the Blue. She netted her 100th career goal in a 16-7 win over Eastern Conn. on March 7 and her 200th career point in a setback to MIT on April 6. Persky finished her Wellesley career with 221 points on 160 goals and 61 assists. 

The women's lacrosse all-conference team consists of 13 first team and 14 second team selections which are voted on by the nine head coaches. The NEWMAC also recognized the nine women's lacrosse student-athletes that were named to the All-Sportsmanship Team. The award is intended to recognize one student-athlete from each team, in every sport that best demonstrates the ideals of the NEWMAC and its Code of Conduct, regardless of his/her overall performance or statistics for the season. First year Jill Foye (Cary, N.C.) was this year's selection for the Blue.
