NORTHBOROUGH, Mass. -- Wellesley College golf closed out the fall season with a 317-340 victory over Division I Holy Cross on Saturday at the Par-71 Juniper Hill Golf Club.
Junior Ryan MacVicar (Tuscaloosa, Ala.) was the top finisher for the Blue with a six-over par round of 77. MacVicar finished two strokes back of Holy Cross junior and individual medalist Jackie Gonzalez (West Roxbury, Mass.).
Wellesley first year Chansie Yang (Laguna Niguel, Calif.) was one stroke back of MacVicar with a 78, while classmate Aine Kenwood (Potomac, Md.) was fourth with a 79. Blue first year Carmen Chan (Birmingham, Mich.) took fifth (83). First year Hannah Blonder (Westwood, Mass.) and junior Olivia de Cuba (Bilthoven, Netherlands) tied for sixth (84).
First year Ella Warburg (Mercer Island, Wash.) rounded out the Blue team score in eighth with a round of 86. Also in action for Wellesley, junior Isabelle Chun (Palo Alto, Calif.) fired an 88 and junior Naomi Kim (Troy, Mich.) carded a 92.
