Wellesley Field Hockey Releases 2019 Schedule

WELLESLEY, Mass. -- Wellesley College field hockey and first year Head Coach Callie Lekas '10 have released the team's schedule for the 2019 season. 

The Blue will play 18 games during the 2019 regular season, including the first home night game in program history when the Blue welcome Husson to Butler Stadium at 7:00 PM on Friday, August 30. Wellesley will play four of the team's first five NEWMAC games at home before closing out the conference schedule with three straight road contests: at Springfield (Oct. 19), at MIT (Oct. 22) and at Wheaton (Nov. 2).

The Blue will host NEWMAC and Seven Sisters rival Mount Holyoke on Saturday, October 12 at 12:00 PM. In addition to the team's eight-game New England Women's & Men's Athletic (NEWMAC) slate, Wellesley will take on three teams (Babson, Bowdoin, Tufts) that finished the 2018 season ranked in the top-20. For complete details, visit the team's 2019 Schedule page.

Schedule Notes: 

  • Home Opener: Friday, August 30 at 7:00 PM vs. Husson
  • NEWMAC Opener: Saturday, September 21 at 12:00 PM vs. WPI
  • The NEWMAC Field Hockey Championship is scheduled to begin on Tuesday, November 5
