Clement, Boots Head to Nationals Again!

WELLESLEY, Mass. -- Once again, Wellesley College track standouts, Leah Clement and Randelle Boots will be headed to the national meet. Both runners will compete at the 2011 NCAA Women's Outdoor Track and Field Championships hosted by Ohio Wesleyan in Delaware, Ohio, May 26-28.

Clement, a junior, will race in the 3,000-meter steeplechase in a timed final on Friday, May 27th at 9:00pm. She is seeded ninth in the event, after running a 10:41.09 at the New England Intercollegiate Track & Field Championships.

Boots, a sophomore, will run in the qualifying heats of the 1,500-meter run at 7:00pm on Thursday, May 26th. Finals for the 1,500 will be contested at 2:00pm on Saturday, May 28th. She enters the event seeded second, after posting a time of 4:24.66 at Princeton's Larry Ellis Memorial Invitational. Boots narrowly missed improving her seed time this past weekend, where she hit a 4:25.89 in the New Balance Boston Twilight Series race.
