Dix Named NEWMAC Swim Coach of the Year
Wellesley College head swimming and diving coach Bonnie Dix earned New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Coach of the Year honors, as announced by the conference office on Friday. A vote of the league’s coaches decides the award recipient.

Blue Swimming and Diving Sweeps Coast Guard and Babson
In a double dual meet with Babson College and the U.S. Coast Guard Academy, Wellesley swimming and diving grabbed two wins on Wednesday evening at Chandler Pool. The Blue topped Babson, 224-75 and Coast Guard, 203-97, while Coast Guard defeated Babson 156.5-136.5.

The Wellesley College swimming and diving team competed at the Mount Holyoke College Invitational on Saturday. The Blue dominated the non-scoring meet, taking 15 of the 22 events. Mount Holyoke came away with six victories, while Smith had one.

The Wellesley College swimming and diving team posted two victories in a tri-meet on Saturday afternoon at Chandler Pool. The Blue move to 2-0 on the season, defeating Clark University, 179-120, and Roger Williams University, 202-95.

Wellesley Swimming Races at the Betty Spears Relays
The Wellesley College swimming and diving team had a strong season-opening performance, hosting the 2011 Betty Spears Relays. The non-scoring meet featured athletes from Bentley, Mount Holyoke, MIT, Smith, Tufts and Westfield State.
