Follow Blue Soccer on Their Tour of Costa Rica

WELLESLEY, Mass. -- The Wellesley College soccer team has landed in Costa Rica! The Blue are beginning a six-day tour of the country, making stops in Turrialba, Cartago and San José.

Wellesley will play matches against teams in Costa Rica's national league and will also play friendly matches against local competition. The Blue will host soccer clinics for local children and enjoy side trips to the Pacuare River, the Refugio Gandoca Manzanillo Wildlife Refuge and Manzanillo beach.

Team members on the trip include seniors Erin Simons and Amanda Young; juniors Megan Turchi and Kara Lungmus; sophomores Lena CardosoAriel ChaoAva MokhtariLJ Foster, Simone Fukuda, Emily Wilson, and Elizabeth Stowell; and first-years Chloe BreiderClaire Cerda, and Emily DiVito.  

Traveling with the team are Head Coach Tony Mohammed, assistant coaches Caitlin Pickul and Taryn Provencher, Athletic Director Bridget Belgiovine, and Athletic Trainer Annie Lasek.
