Wellesley Lacrosse's Mulrenan Earns Third Career NEWMAC All-Conference Honor

WELLESLEY, Mass. -- Wellesley College lacrosse senior Jenna Mulrenan (Geln Ridge, N.J.) has been named to the 2018 New England Women's & Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Women's Lacrosse All-Conference second team.

The women's lacrosse all-conference team consists of 13 first team and 12 second team selections, which are voted on by the nine head coaches. Mulrenan is now a three-time All-Conference second team selection on defense, as she also earned the honor in 2016 and 2017. 

Mulrenan established career-highs in draw controls (37) and caused turnovers (33) during the 2018 season, while also scooping-up a team-high 46 ground balls in 16 games. She also tallied her only career goal in a 14-12 setback to Smith on March 31st. Mulrenan started all 63 of her career appearances for the Blue, totaling 62 draw controls, 79 caused turnovers, and 157 ground balls. She earned NEWMAC Defensive Player of the Week honors as a sophomore and helped the Blue to the NEWMAC semifinals in both 2015 and 2017. 

Wellesley lacrosse finished the 2018 season with a 2-14 record and a 2-6 mark in NEWMAC play.
