Softball's Goldfarb Named Academic All-American
Wellesley College softball player Lauren Goldfarb has been named a Capital One Academic All-America selection by the Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). She is just the eighth student-athlete in Wellesley College history, and the first softball player, to earn the national recognition, which honors both high-level academics and athletics.

Softball Tops Wheaton, Falls to Coast Guard to End NEWMAC Tournament
The Wellesley College softball team closed out the 2012 season with a split at the NEWMAC Tournament held at Springfield College. The #3 Blue opened the day with a 3-0 win to oust #5 Wheaton, but suffered a 5-2 loss to #6 and defending NEWMAC Champion Coast Guard to end the season.

Blue Softball Sweep Smith to End Regular Season
The Wellesley College softball team swept a doubleheader against Smith to close out the NEWMAC regular season on Saturday afternoon. The Blue took game one 4-1 before earning an 8-0 victory in six innings during game two. Wellesley ends the regular season at 18-17-1 overall (10-6 in NEWMAC) and will await final NEWMAC seedings. Smith ends its 2012 campaign with a 4-26 (1-15 NEWMAC) mark.

Wellesley Softball Splits with Wheaton
The Wellesley College and Wheaton College softball teams split a New England Women’s and Men’s Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) doubleheader on Friday afternoon in Wellesley. Wheaton (17-17, 9-5 NEWMAC) took game one, 1-0, while Wellesley (16-17-1, 8-6) rebounded with a Jayne Ellis walk-off single to take game two, 2-1 in eight innings.

The Wellesley College softball team recorded an extra innings win and a seven-inning tie in a Wednesday afternoon doubleheader at Endicott College. The Blue took the opener 6-3 in nine innings, while game two went seven full before being halted due to darkness.

The Blue took game one, 3-2, in nine innings, and won the night-cap, 5-1.

Blue Softball Drops NE Opening Doubleheader to Brandeis
Brandeis University softball pitchers Caroline Miller and Casey Ducinski combined to allow hits in just four out of 14 innings today as the Judges swept a softball doubleheader visiting Wellesley College, 6-1 and 6-2, on Marcus Field. With the wins, the Judges climb back to the .500 mark at 8-8, while the Blue fall to 4-8 in their first action of the season in New England.

The Wellesley College softball team closed out its spring break trip to the National Training Center with a split against two nationally-ranked opponents. The Blue opened the day with a 4-3 win over #13 University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire, but fell 3-2 in the nightcap to #25 St. Thomas of Minnesota.

The Wellesley College softball team dropped a pair of games at the National Training Center's Hancock Field on Tuesday afternoon. Coming off a late night game, the Blue dropped a 5-0 morning contest to Manchester and then fell to the University of Wisconsin-Platteville, 7-1 in their second game of the day.

The Wellesley College softball team continued its spring break trip to the National Training Center in Clermont, Fla., with a split in a pair of extra innings games against Wesleyan and Ramapo. The Blue needed to come from behind in both games, defeating Wesleyan 5-4, but falling to Ramapo, 6-5.

The Wellesley College softball team opened the 2012 season by sweeping their first day of competition at the National Training Center's Hancock Field in Clermont, Fla. The Blue picked up a 3-0 win over William Paterson in their opener and then defeated the University of Wisconsin-Superior, 10-2 in the nightcap.
