Wellesley Athletics Teams Head to Warmer Climates for Spring Break

WELLESLEY, Mass. – Several Wellesley College teams will head to warmer climates for spring break next week, taking part in their annual training trips and competitions. Two Blue teams will travel to Florida, while others will be in Maryland and California.

Wellesley’s softball and lacrosse teams will once again head to the National Training Center in Clermont, Florida. The softball team will open their 2014 season on spring break, playing eight total games down south. The 2-3 lacrosse team has a home game on Saturday before heading to warmer climates to take on Union and Williams.

The Blue crew team will be training at Washington College for the week. The trip will conclude with a race on the Chester River.

Wellesley’s tennis team will be traveling to the Los Angeles, California area. The team will get in a few days of practice, before playing Division-I Cal State Northridge on the 26th.
